Privacy
Privacy, in plain words
Last updated . This is our working notice while Soot is in early access; the full policy will be published before launch and will never collect more than this page describes without telling you first.
Who we are
Soot is made by Raedus Labs, a small independent business in Queensland, Australia. Questions or requests: hello@meetsoot.com.
The Reset
What you type or tap in the Reset stays in your browser. It is not sent to us. We count which steps get used (for example "a step was completed"), never what you wrote.
Analytics
- We use PostHog (servers in the United States) to count page views, which site sent you here, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as
utm_source). - PostHog is set to discard IP addresses. We do not record your screen, your clicks, or anything you type.
- If your browser sends Do Not Track, PostHog records nothing.
- Your browser also keeps a small note of the first site that sent you here, for up to 90 days. It leaves your browser only if you join the waitlist. It is not kept at all when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
The waitlist
If you join the early-access waitlist, we store:
- your email address, and when you joined
- which form you used, and the moment you picked, if you picked one
- how you found us: campaign tags and the referring site (the site name only, never the full address)
- a one-way, keyed scramble of your IP address, used only to stop the same connection signing up many times. It cannot be turned back into your address.
It is stored with Neon (a database service, servers in the United States). We use it for one thing: to email you when early access opens. We do not send any other email, and we never sell, rent or share the list.
What we never do
- No ads, and no selling or renting your data.
- No training AI models on anything you give us.
Who helps us run the site
Vercel hosts the site, Neon stores the waitlist, and PostHog counts visits. Each processes data only to provide that service to us.
Your choices
Email hello@meetsoot.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, or delete it. You do not need to give a reason. Soot is for adults 18 and over.
